The procedure, which is basically liposuction, is being done under the general anesthetic and will last from 1 to 3 hours (depending on the individual patient condition). To remove the tissue, incisions are being made around nipples and other favorable places on chest. the excess fat is then being removed by a small tube and that is the core of male breast reduction procedure. After that step is finished, incisions are being sutured so they will provide better appearance of man's chest. The stitches surgeon will use in this type of surgery are self dissolving so they will not have to be removed later. After the surgery, patient can leave the same day. Some of them will stay a couple of days in the hospital before they can go home.
