How Will I Go About Starting My Own Candy Vending Business?

By: Mario Churchill

There are several ways to start a candy vending business of your own. The first thing to consider when starting a candy vending business is to learn the business inside out. You need to know everything about the business to be able to run it efficiently and make the most profit possible. There are several ebooks, articles, and websites that will provide you with all the information you will ever need about the vending business.

Before you buy your candy vending machines from anyone, and spend a good deal of money. Know that there are places where you will pay a mere fraction of the $300 many vending machine sellers want, for the same type of machine.

The best advice you can be given is to start out small and increase your candy vending business as you go. If you start out with too many machines, you may find you are in over your head and have nowhere to go but down. You will find that the machines will pay for themselves quickly, if you have the correct location.

While the vending machine business can definitely be profitable if you know how to go about it, many people think it is a way to make big money for doing nothing. You will not need to work as many hours as you would at a regular job, or even any other business undertaking. You still need to pay attention to your machines and service them at least once a week. This means fill them, collect the money, make sure they are in working order, and keep them clean. Nobody wants to purchase food from a dirty machine.

Many people in the vending business have written books and ebooks on the subject. It would give you a huge advantage to read one or more of these to get the most information possible before you spend a dime on the candy vending business. What is a few dollars compared to the money you may be wasting on worthless machines, or business deals?

Vending Business Secrets, The Untold Story, is one of the best books on the subject. Written by a vendor, it will give you a straight forward look at the vending business and the pitfalls you need to stay away from. You can also get some information from articles written by vendors, on the internet. In any case I can’t stress enough the fact that you need to know all about the vending business before you begin.

Even though you are an intelligent person, you can still get burned by an unscrupulous person. Ask any question that you can think of before you decide to go into any business venture with anyone. If at all possible you should look over the machines before you buy. Most of the time this is not a possibility, as you may be looking on the internet. Do ask for references when you are thinking of buying candy machines.

  • The best telemarketing package has no guarantee on the box By: Brian Augustus Parnell - The need for a warm and fuzzy guarantee for everything you purchase has become common place in many of today's product and service markets. This is all fine and dandy if you are buying a car, blender, television or any other physical product. When did businesses and consumers start thinking that everything you purchase automatically comes with a guarantee? In the outsourced sales and telemarketing arena, service providers are approached with this mentality far too often.

That should cover the majority of us business owners, right? No matter which business you are in, we've all got something in common! We are all sales people. Some of you might disagree. You see yourself as the provider of a wonderful service or product. Most people just don't like the word "Sales". In fact, they cringe when they hear it and they certainly wouldn't describe themselves as a salesperson! But guess what?

  • Create TRUE Entrepreneur Success and Security By: Heather Dominick - Did you know your first Energy Point can be found in your body at the base of your spine? This is the area where you house all of your 'security' energy. It is literally about being supported in life. So it makes sense that this will pop up when building a business, right? The irony is that especially when it comes to building business so many entrepreneurs turn to the outside to determine whether they are strong and secure enough to be successful.

  • Which Career Move: PMP or MBA? By: John Reiling - I have seen many posts out in the forums and blogs wondering whether it is better to go for a PMP or MBA. I think there is great value in both, but I think they serve 2 different purposes. Having earned both a PMP and an MBA, I have some definite thoughts on this, but of course in the end it is a personal decision. Many people may remember the movie "The Wizard of Oz", and how The Great Oz described a university education to the scarecrow, who lamented "if I only had a brain".

  • Writing a Resignation Letter By: Camilla Patten - Resigning from your job is something that should be managed with great care and professionalism. While you may not have a wonderful relationship with the employer who you intend on resigning with, always approach resignations with the intention of ending things amicably. While you may be looking forward to starting your new job, you will also need to say goodbye to colleagues whom you may have developed close relationships with. Whatever your resignation story may be and however interesting it may sound, aim to resign with dignity and pride and never burn your bridges.

  • Is Your Marketing Pushing or Pulling People? By: Jody Gabourie - I was talking to a client the other day about the difference between push and pull marketing and why you want to use pull marketing. Briefly, "push" marketing is as it sounds - you're pushing the prospect or client into buying your product or service. Your marketing communications are all about why your product and your service are so great and why they should buy now, purchase now, get it on sale now, talk to you now. With "push" marketing, most of the focus of marketing and communication is on the company - not the client.

  • Tied Up In Knots - Not with Silk Ties By: Neil Thompson - It no longer comes as a surprise to see men of just about any profession sporting silk ties. In fact, one can easily spot a man wearing a silk tie in both the suburbs and the city. Interestingly, the history of silk ties dates back to centuries ago. Any person just might be surprised to know the fact that the use of the usual necktie seen today is actually a product of war. Way back 1660, a crack regiment hailing from Croatia visited the empire of King Louis XIV of Paris.
