Making Money With Blogs

By: Steven Becker

Over the last few years blogs on the Internet have become a popular way for people from around the world to share what's happening in their lives as well as their thoughts on a variety of different issues. While many people simply have a blog in order to keep family and friends up to date or have their voice be heard, a few choose to use blogs to make money.

Having the opportunity to work as a blogger for a company or business is one of the best ways for making money with blogs. Throughout the internet you can find a variety of job openings for companies and businesses looking for bloggers who can generate content for their blog and lead customers to their website. They've seen what a blog can do for a company in terms of drawing people to their site as well as developing a loyal customer and fan base. This is why more and more companies are opting to hire and pay bloggers to manage the blogs. If you are hired to a position as a blogger, you will be expected to post to the blog a set number of times during the week or month, and generally you will be paid per posting.

Making money with blogs is also something that can be achieved if you have your own business. Just as other companies and businesses are driving people to their website and increasing their sales you can too simply by using the power of a blog. Share your business and the products or services you provide with the world by posting them on your blog. Doing so will not only help you create free publicity for your business, but it can lead to sales and an increase in profit. Of course you don't necessarily need a business for making money with blogs. You can have a full-time job and blog for fun on the side making a little extra spending cash as you go along. This occurs by putting advertisements on your site or seeking monetary support for your blog from loyal readers. Of course for either to become profitable it is important that you develop a very deep and loyal fan base consisting of many people that visit your site on a daily basis in order to keep up with your life or get your opinion on a particular subject matter.

It is important to remember though that you can't tell readers to click on ads if you are using an advertising revenue source such as Google. They prohibit it, and the only way to overcome it is by selling direct advertising spots to other companies or websites. This is why some bloggers opt to ask readers for donations in order to keep the blog going rather than using advertising revenue.

The internet is changing the way people view the world as well as what financial opportunities exist for them. Making money with blogs is something that can be achieved, and there are a number of different ways to do this. In fact you can start making extra cash for your pocket by seeking out a blogging job or starting your own today.
