Start Collecting Email Courses Created By Others To Write Your Own Follow Up Messages

By: Heris Yunora

Offering free stuffs to website visitors is a very popular marketing method to build a list of subscribers. A series of follow-up messages which are disguised in the form of a free course often results in a lot of sales. Most people do not like direct "hard sale" approach. It has been widely known that on an average a potential customer must hear from you several times before a sale is made.

Setting up an autoresponder to send out a series of lessons can be accomplished easily. You only need to paste the messages into the autoresponder and then set how often the lessons will be delivered to the people who have signed up for it. The problem is what you should write and how to determine the right interval for each message.

Normally, the first message contains an introduction that sets the pace for the messages that follow. It is the time to explain readers what to expect from your email course. You can send out your first lesson one day after a subscriber has received the introduction message.

In the middle of the course, some marketers include comparisons between what they offer and what competitors offer. You can also take the same route. This way, you will show potential customers that what you are offering is the best, either the features or the price, or both!

To ensure that your customers will look forward to receiving your next message, do not forget to leave a teaser for the next message. You should also make sure that your potential customers can place an order without any problems.

One of the most easiest ways to create follow-up emails is by paying attention to what other marketers have done. Of course you cannot just simply copy and paste their email messages. Just get ideas from these messages. Take the time to read through the ones and use them to create an outline for your own email course. Now instead of having to start your course from scratch, you have good quality content to get the creative juices flowing.

Just collect some email courses which are created by successful companies. If you want, you may setup a special folder for each course. You can do it with any email client software. With Outlook Express this can be accomplished by setting up special rules for each of the courses (Tools->Messages Rules). This feature allows you to move messages from a particular sender or domain to a special folder. Just think of the folder as the place to store swap files.

Experts agree that an email course can be used to promote almost any product - as long as you put enough thought into it. For instance, if you sell a software, you might develop a course that teaches people how to use the software and how they can benefit from using it.

By collecting some email courses created by others, you can learn how the messages are written, designed and put together. This way, you will be able to find out the methods other marketers are using to sell their products with autoresponder. There is no school in the world that can give you the same kind of education in writing follow-up messages.

Why? Because E-books have so many distinctive qualities that other media lack. For instance, e-books are easily and cheaply produced and replicated, easily available, are much more interactive, can be strategically used for marketing purposes, and more and more.
