The Power Of Thank You

By: Fred Nicklaus

I've been spending a tremendous amount of time researching people, books, and products that I feel can help you in your quest to aid your children. I will make more mentions of these and occasionally suggest that you consider purchasing some of these items for your own personal growth.

I was sitting under a palapa in Mazatlan, Mexico when it became overwhelmingly obvious to me that I had much to be thankful for. I say this not just because I was vacationing by the Pacific Ocean in this beautiful Mexican town, but because my time in Mexico gave me much needed time to reflect on all of the things that I need to be thankful for. I make it a habit to say thank you when I awake, during the day, and when I go to bed at night. I believe that it sends out powerful vibrations of thought to the universe and brings back other things for me to be thankful for. I have so many things to be thankful for. I have my creator, my family, my energy, my health, my business, and numerous other things which all give me reason to step back and say thank you and be happy for all the wonderful blessings that I've been given.

I also make it a point to say thank you for things that have been hard or unpleasant in my life. I believe that it's not only the pleasant smiley faced things that we should be thankful for, but it's also the difficult, unpleasant things that we should give thanks for. It's a fact that the hotter the fire, the stronger the steel. It applies to us too.

It is my experience that the challenges in life help forge our character and help us use our spirit and creative imagination. Asking to live a life of comfort can only lead us to weakness and unhappiness. Our spirits need challenge and they need action. Take as an example the many people who retire to a life of comfort and inactivity only to find unhappiness, ill health, and even death. It's no coincidence that inactivity and comfort go against our natural need to create and contribute.

So say thanks for the happy, smiley things but remember to also say thanks for the tough, uncomfortable things. We may not understand the why or the how at the moment, but in the long run it's those tough things that make life the exciting adventure that it should be.

Be thankful,

Fred Nicklaus
