The Secret To Slimming Down Your Waistline And Legs

By: Heather Picken

To burn more fat women need to realize that weight training is your secret weapon to shedding belly fat and creating the body you desire. Forget about doing endless cardio to get results.

You have probably seen women at the gym that spend all the time on the cardio machines and still look the same too.

In order to further understand why weight training is great for women to get lean, lose belly fat and speed up your metabolism is that your muscle is comprised of different types of fibers slow and fast twitched.

For example if you do more endurance activities like long-distance running or swimming your muscles would be comprised of mostly slow twitch fibers and if you do mostly weight training and sprinting exercises your body will have more fast twitch muscle fibers.

Many women struggle with stubborn belly fat. If this is you then you may want to pay attention to the surest and fastest way in losing it.

Think about it, you're doing your long leisurely jogging and you're eating healthy and that stubborn fat just seems to stay there but you think because you are over 30 that it's you're age.

Well, your mistaken it's just that you don't have the right type of training program.

One of the secrets that I share with women is a weight training program that can actually create more fast twitch muscle fibers which burn more fat especially the stubborn belly fat.

How do you switch your body in a higher fat-burning mode?

Through high-volume training your body literally becomes as fat-burning machine. A great fat blasting strategy would be to do high reps with heavy weight.

Work out intensely so that you are breathing hard each time you finish a set. High reps and little weights don't burn fat.

Another great way to train so that you are melting belly fat is a metabolic workout. This type of routine will blast fat from your body and you'll start seeing a big difference in the way your clothes fit. For this type of workout you can take your resistance exercises and integrate them with interval cardio.

Many women see the magic in weight training and how it really is super effective in toning their bodies. Once they realize this, they are hooked as they realize their old ways don't serve them anymore in getting results.

Eating enough for your workouts is crucial not only to build lean muscle but to burn fat. Eating very low calorie diets are counterproductive.

There is much to be said about that philosophy. And in many areas it is the wisest choice. However, there are areas where I completely disagree with cutting back. For example, many school systems have had to address fiscal challenges. And unfortunately, the arts and physical education are the hardest hit areas. I cannot say what the long term effect of cutting art programs will be on the youth of America.

  • How Is It That So Many Medical Staff Refused Vaccinations? By: Paul Phillips - Contrary to what's being given out in the media, vaccinations are not the harbinger of good health they are said to be. Early history has shown us that for measles, tuberculosis, polio and whooping cough we can see that the decline in the number of deaths occurred way before the vaccinations. In the case of measles, the death rate was virtually over before the vaccine. For all four diseases, there was no acceleration in the decline post-vaccination.

  • Earn Isolation By: Bryan Kavanagh - I want to address a very sensitive subject. Isolating muscles while training versus training heavy and in big compound movements. For example on 'Bicep day and Abs day' doing about four different curl variations followed by some crunches. Here's my first problem; dedicating an entire day to such a small and comparatively weak muscle just doesn't sit right with me.

However, being a former smoker myself, I know that this statement is neither realistic, nor fair.

  • Why Do We Age? By: Michael Tomberlin - Why do we age? - Aging is natural. It's a complex process that affects every cell and organ and bodily function. When we age our blood vessels lose flexibility which causes hardening of the arteries, also known as arteriosclerosis. We have reduced nutrient absorption due to declining production of digestive enzymes and we also have a smaller breathing capacity which reduces the amount of oxygen we take in. But why do we age? Why do some people age faster or slower and in different ways than others?
