They are also helpful in controlling water usage because you can choose how much water is placed in the sinks and how much water is used when using the sinks; thus you do not have to worry about using way to much water when people are using the sinks to wash their hands.

Portable sinks can be especially helpful for people working in the food industry. Having a sink sitting right there where people are working around food will make it much more likely that people will actually wash their hands on a more regular basis. They are also helpful in making sure that people such as waiters and bus boys that do not always have access to a real sink are washing their hands after handling food. Also, another benefit is that instead of having to walk all over the place to find a rest room, the portable sinks are sitting in spots all over the places for you to use. Having the portable sinks in places where people will see them will hopefully remind people that they must wash their hands on a regular basis through out the day, and not just after using the rest room. Having them easily accessible to people makes it much easier for people to remember that they are there and that they should use them when they see them. They also help promote the reasoning that you must constantly wash your hands to help make sure you do not spread diseases and things to other people.

Using the portable sinks is also good for the environment because people are able to control how much water is being used and you are able to make sure that excess amounts of water are not being washed every time a person washes their hands.
