Women And The Nfl

By: Martin Chase

Women and the NFL have joined forced to make a great partnership. In the past women have not been considered fans of football because of the violence of the game and because they were never taught the rules of the sport. Well guys, times have changed.

Ladies are becoming just as passionate and knowledgeable about the game as men are. Women are starting to have their own fantasy football leagues, their own football parties, and even their own all-women football teams.

At one time football classes were started so women could learn about the game so they could get closer to their boyfriends or husbands. Now, women enjoy football just as much as men do, and some women like football even more than men do. Women are becoming the NFL'S biggest fans and they buy the most NFL merchandise.

I believe this trend will only grow as more and more women learn what an exciting and fun game football can be.

The NFL has finally learned what a great market that women are and now the NFL is marketing directly to women, selling NFL items like pink jerseys and pink baseball hats, NFL jewelry, and a lot of NFL clothing such as women’s t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and more.

However, I believe that the NFL should support woman and that a percentage of all merchandise sales should go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to fight breast cancer. At my NFL merchandise website, I donate 2% of all sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I feel that as a man and as a retired NFL player we have to do everything we can to help women, especially when it comes to fighting breast cancer. Please help support women, because mothers, sisters, daughters, girlfriends and wives are depending on you.
