  • Modern Cold Stamping Foils - The development of modern cold stamping foils originated with the simple cold foils devised as a dieless technique for applying a metallic finish to self adhesive labels produced on reel to reel printing presses. There are many benefits of this process, and some disadvantages, although cold foiling has progressed a lot since then. The benefits in reel to reel printing are obvious. If hot foiling is carried out in-line at the end of the printing process, then the press speed is limited by the foiling speed which is relatively slow.
  • Living With The Digital Lifestyle - It seems everything in today’s society requires batteries, and if not batteries then most likely it needs a power adapter. Are you receiving requests on a regular basis for batteries? With the cost of batteries these days it’s a smart idea to look into other alternatives. Rechargeable batteries that come with its own battery charger are just one option. While one set is charging you can be using the other set in your mp3 player, your universal remote or any other power accessories you have, which is probably more than you care to admit. It’s a good thing that cell phones come with their own battery and charger. The amount of cell phones being used today would be very minimal if they took regular lithium ion batteries. The cost of that alone is astounding.

  • Four Average Movies: Two Messy and Two Unpretentious - Copyright © 2006 Ed Bagley Here are four average movies, two of which (The Family Stone and Mona Lisa Smile) are pretty screwed up, and two of which (Indian Summer and Unlikely Angel) are unpretentious and easy on the eye. Despite being pure fluff, I would rate the last two better than the first two. The Family Stone – 2 Stars (Average) A Manhattan couple comes home for Christmas to the groom-to-be's (Luke Wilson as Ben Stone) free-spirited parents and finds their proposed marriage in serious trouble as Meredith, the bride-to-be (Sarah Jessica Parker), cannot find acceptance.

  • Four Average Movies That Do Not Get Any Better the Second Time Around - Copyright © 2007 Ed Bagley Here are four average movies that do not get any better the second time around: Anger Management - 2 Stars (Average) Anger Management brings young Adam Sandler together with old Jack Nicholson in a dippy comedy that borders on a romantic comedy without the dramatic bent. Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) is a businessman who is wrongly sentenced to an anger-management program following an incident on airline flight, but insult is added to injury when Dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson), an aggressive, unorthodox therapist, becomes his live in roommate during rehabilitation. This film is dominated by Nicholson, has a script that begs for better lines, and becomes annoying after awhile, which is very similar to Nicholson's character in the movie.

  • Interstellar: A Film About Amateur Astronomy And The Search For Extra-terrestrials - If there is one thankless hobby or job in this world, it’s Amateur Astronomy. Amateur Astronomers are under-funded, underrated and always taken for granted. Yet these little giants of space science are always willing to stretch the bounds of our scientific knowledge without the need to work within the restraints of some established scientific theory or database. Despite the unappreciated nature of this endeavor and often finding themselves at odds with the scientific establishment, Amateur Astronomers are responsible for some of the most significant milestones achieved in Astronomy. Keiichiro Okamura, a Japanese amateur astronomer, was responsible for some of the best photos ever taken of Halley’s Comet using just his telescope without the aid of computer-enhanced photography.
