  • Choose Happiness Now - What if you discovered that you have the power to choose happiness right now at this very moment, and every moment moving forward, for the rest of your life? Would you choose your happiness now? Many people live their life in the search for happiness. For many people this search continues their whole life, and they never "find" happiness.
  • Happiness Does Not Come From Just One Thing - When people try to separate success and happiness, they often do so by pointing out the necessity of other essential ingredients to happiness. Sometimes they do this by painting a picture of someone very rich, who has everything...but love. A loveless life, no matter how successful, may seem unhappy to most of us. They believe this picture proves that success has nothing to do with happiness. But happiness does not come from just one thing, not even love. I see happiness as a positive state of well-being that comes from a combination of different emotional experiences that lead one to feel fulfilled and happy.
  • My idea of happy life - Students attend the extra classes after the school hours. The clerk of the school office comes earlier and goes late from the office. The principal is anxious about the result of the school. The teachers devote their vacan periods in correction work. Why is there such a struggle in the temple of learning (school). The idea underlying this struggle is to make life happy and prosperous. The question arises what happiness is. Is happiness to possess wealth? Does poverty lead to happiness? Do you think that pleasure is happiness? The experience of life gives negative answer to all these questions. The rich who have all comforts and luxuries are not free form cares and anxieties. The poor struggle for their bread and butter. Those who mistake pleasure of happiness do blunder. Then what is happiness? Happiness is a thing which cannot be defined.
  • Why Money Can't Buy Happiness - It has been said that "money can't buy happiness," but that is mostly true because happiness is not something for sale. You cannot go into a store and buy happiness. The implication with the phrase, though, is that happiness has nothing to do with money. There is also an insinuation that people who want more money are superficial and are only interested in material possessions. I beg to differ. If you understand what happiness is and you also understand the difference there is between having money and not having money, you will see that there is no contradiction between wanting money and wanting happiness. They are not only not mutually exclusive, there is a relationship between money and happiness. It is more accurate to say that money may contribute to your level of happiness. The pursuit of success may, in fact, coincide with the pursuit of happiness.
  • The Meaning of Life - Some say that the purpose of life is to seek happiness. Is happiness the purpose, or is happiness the result of another purpose? Is happiness the meaning of life, or is happiness the result of discovering what has heart and meaning for you? There is not one right answer to this question. The answer lies within each of us regarding what gives meaning to our life. WHAT GIVES MEANING TO YOUR LIFE? Perhaps, in seeking happiness, we discover what has heart and meaning for us. Is this how it is for you? Or is it the other way around for you? Is happiness for you the result of loving yourself and others? Do you find that when you are open and loving, that you feel filled with happiness? Maybe love and happiness are inseparable.
  • Is Anyone Ever Really Happy? - Have you ever asked yourself this question: Do you wonder if the life you are living right now is as good as it gets? A team of researchers representing the Universities of Sheffield and Manchester did a study of personal well-being based on geographical areas. They found that the happiest place in Britain is the county of Powys in Wales - ironically also the most sparsely populated county in Wales. Would that be because there is no need there to keep up with the Joneses, or because the Joneses live too far away to cause unhappiness?
